Havant, 3rd Dec
2001 - On the back
of excellent worldwide growth and expansion, leading high reliability
computer manufacturer I-Bus is delighted to announce the relocation
from Havant, Hampshire to new, larger purpose built premises in
Tangmere, West Sussex.
From December,
the Chichester Business Park will become the new focal point for all
the company's European operations. Spanning 20,000 square feet, the new
facilities will act as the company's Headquarters and Distribution
Centre for the whole of Europe. It will serve the French, German and
Scandinavian offices, accommodate state-of-the-art integration
facilities, and provide technical support and Quality Assurance backup
for all products.
"We are
delighted with the move and the new challenges that lie ahead", says
Managing Director, John Weller. "The Chichester location is ideal. Not
only are there excellent communication and transport infrastructures,
including road, rail and air, but we are closer to our UK chassis
manufacturing facility based in Uckfield, East Sussex. The new purpose
built facility satisfies our current business needs and an extra 5000
square feet has been allocated for future expansion".
The move to
larger premises is required because I-Bus has seen demand for
application lead products escalate over the last few years. The ability
to design and manufacture fully integrated computer platforms from here
in the UK is a unique selling point. This means customers can see their
solution being built from start to finish. In some instances,
I-Bus even ship finished products direct to the customer's distribution
channel. This single vendor approach means OEMs can focus entirely on
their core business activities.
