March,
18th, 2005, San Jose CA - I-Bus
announces the launch of their new PICMG 2.16
compliant IBC 2807, 6U Single Slot CompactPCI Server Blade featuring
Intel
Centrino mobile technology with low voltage Intel Pentium-M processors.
The IBC
2807 is designed to deliver the high performance and bandwidth demanded
by the
emerging switch-fabric applications blade server, mission critical and
computing intensive applications such as third-generation (3G)
wireless, voice
over internet protocol (VoIP), networking image processing, and other
demanding
telecom/data communication applications.
The CPU
delivers Pentium-M processor at up to 2.0 Ghz and supports future Intel
speed
upgrades enabling scalability and flexibility of the solution.
Program and data storage needs are met with support for up to 2 Gbytes
of DDR
and onboard storage option of 4 Gbytes
CompactFlash, 8 Gbytes MicroDrive, and 2.5”HDD up to 200GB. Additional
features
include quad Ethernet with dual Gigabit Ethernet ports supporting
Packet Switching
Backplane capability, PMC expansion and Video interface including 16MB
VRAM.
Also supported is the full set of standard PC peripherals including
Dual Ultra
DMA IDE, quad USB 2.0 ports with two front and two rear, dual high
speed serial
ports, mouse and keyboard. Optional features include optional Ultra320
SCSI
support with rear I/O transition board.
As the
mission-critical
demand increases in the next generation networking and
telecommunication
equipments, the IBC 2807 has been optimized to play as a master card in
a cPCI
system. It could also plug into a peripheral slot as a standalone
server blade,
isolated from the cPCI bus, commuting with other blades in the system
through
Gigabit Ethernet switching fabric on the back plane. IBC-2807 is
designed in
compliance with PICMG 2.9 specification supporting remote system and
platform
management.
