NEW SWEDISH DISTRIBUTOR
Tangmere, 26th
February 2002 - I-Bus is
delighted to announce the appointment of a new European distributor to
expand the reach of its high reliability OEM computer platforms and
services. IDD, based in Sweden, will distribute I-Bus platforms
throughout Sweden and Finland, placing particular emphasis on its state
of the art CompactPCI (cPCI) range.

IDD and
Owen Williams of I-Bus finalise the new
distributor agreement
|
I-Bus chose IDD
because of their long experience and knowledge of cPCI technology and
the telecoms sector that will be vital for securing new business in
these regions. By working closely together, IDD and I-Bus in Sweden
will be able to bring new technology efficiently to market and
establish new communication channels for improved customer support.
IDD believes
this new I-Bus portfolio gives them greater strength in complete system
business based on both ISA/PCI and cPCI architecture. With standard and
custom-tailored platforms based on Sparc and/or Pentium technology
available, I-Bus is now well placed to meet this ongoing system
business trend in this region.
|
This new
partnership coincides with the recent expansion of I-Bus's European
headquarters to larger, purpose built premises in Tangmere, West
Sussex, UK. The ability to design and manufacture fully integrated
computer platforms from the UK is a unique selling point, and these new
premises will serve the French, German and Scandinavian offices with
centralised state-of-the-art integration facilities, QA and technical
support for all its products. |
