I-Bus Introduces BlackRay

June 18, 2006.

I-Bus Corp. announces today the introduction of the BlackRay 64-bit PICMG 1.3 Single Board Computer, supporting the Intel® Pentium 4 or Celeron D processor in the mPGA478 package. The BlackRay is optimized for high-speed processing, supporting processors of 3.4GHz and above.

"BlackRay is one of our lowest cost, high performance and high reliability SBC with outstanding computing power. “This low cost high performance SBC has outstanding connectivity" said Johni Chan, President and CEO of I-Bus. "The outstanding architecture of this SBC allows the board to be high performance, high reliability, and superb connectivity with very low cost."
Like all I-Bus Single Board Computer products, the BlackRay is based on the standard PCI architecture, for use in passive backplanes, meeting all of the PICMG (PCI Industrial Manufacturers Group) requirements.

The BlackRay Incorporates the following feature set:

  • Two Double DaTa Rate (DDR) 240-pin DIMM sockets for up to 2 GBytes of 400/533MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
  • Intel's 915GV and ICH6 chipset with support for 533/400MHz front side bus speeds.
  • Dual Gigabit Ethernet with dual LED indicators.
  • Intel 915GV Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 900 with dynamic share system memory up to 224MB and resolution up to 2048x1536 @ 85Hz refresh.
  • Dual EIDE, four SATA, eight USB 2.0, and AC’97 2.3 Audio.
  • 5.25"/3.5" floppy drive controller.
  • Two serial ports, one parallel ports, and one IrDA.
  • Four PCI Express x1 and four PCI master.
  • System monitoring, Watchdog Timer, and Solid State Disk support.
The BlackRay supports a variety of operating systems, including DOS/Windows, Windows 95/98/NT, Windows 2000/2003, Windows XP and LINUX.
