I-Bus
Corp.
announces today the introduction of the ThornbackRay 64-bit Dual-Core
Xeon PICMG
1.3 Single Board Computer, supporting the Intel® Dual-Core Xeon
processor LV in
the mFCPGA package. The ThornbackRay is optimized for high-speed
processing.

Like all I-Bus Single Board Computer products, the ThornbackRay is
based on the
standard PCI architecture, for use in passive backplanes, meeting all
of the
PICMG (PCI Industrial Manufacturers Group) requirements.
The
ThornbackRay
Incorporates the following feature set:
- Four
Double Data Rate (DDR) 240-pin DIMM sockets for up to
8 GBytes of 400/533MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
- Intel's
E7520 and 6300ESB chipset with support for 667MHz
front side bus speeds.
- Dual Gigabit Ethernet
with dual LED
indicators and PCI Express x4 interface based Intel 82571.
- ATI
Radeon 7000 graphics controller with up to 64MB graphic
memory.
- Dual
EIDE, dual SATA, and six USB 2.0.
- 5.25"/3.5"
floppy drive controller.
- Two
serial ports and one parallel ports.
- Three PCI
Express x4, one PCI Express x8, and four PCI
master.
- System
monitoring, Watchdog Timer, and Solid State Disk
support.
The
ThornbackRay supports a
variety of operating systems, including DOS/Windows, Windows 95/98/NT,
Windows
2000/2003, Windows XP and LINUX.
